Everyone should be taking advantage of your IDX Profile Page at Planet Realtor. It's free and easy. If you don't have time to do it yourself, never fear....your friendly neighborhood Web assistant is ready, willing, and able to help you with this.

Your FAR membership provides for your free Living Network Web Page (IDX Profile). You should be taking advantage it. For instance, you can register a domain name and configure your Living Network Web Page to open when someone types it in their browser. You can also maintain your properties, manage your buyer database, configure your IDX to display your inventory, elect to receive timely real estate news delivered to your e-mail box, etc. So you see, it's packed full of useful features you can and should be taking full advantage of.

Customizing IDX Search Homes Function
Are you getting leads from outside your market area? Instead of Palm City, do you get requests for Palm Bay, or similar out-of-market requests? Here are the steps to limit the cities in an IDX search:

1. Go to http://www.planetrealtor.com

2. Enter your User ID and Password....If you do not know these you can click on LOOK IT UP NOW.

3. Once you are in, Click on MY ACCOUNT in the upper right corner.

4. Click on IDX in the left Navigation bar.

5. Click on SAVE MY IDX SEARCH PREFERENCES at the bottom.

6. Make your choice of cities from the list on the right. Tip: To choose multiple cities, press the control key and click on the individual cities at the same time.

7. When you are finished, click SAVE.

There you have it. Now when visitors search homes from your IDX page, instead of every city in the State of Florida being listed, they'll only see the cities in your chosen market areas....  ;-]
